Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach culinary courses at the Peoria Campus. Adjuncts may teach future semesters if courses are available, and will maintain office hours to support student success.

Responsibilities include meeting classroom standards, adhering to syllabi, and coordinating courses with appropriate materials while collaborating with staff. Applicants must be Illinois residents at hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts required.
• Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts with 2,000 hours experience as sous chef or executive chef or equivalent.
• Licensed Registered Dietician credential.
• Associate's Degree in Baking or Pastry with 2,000 hours experience as pastry chef or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab classes.
• Adhere to master syllabi and create instructional syllabi.
• Maintain office hours and availability for students.
• Communicate with students to ensure success.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve the student experience.
• Perform related duties as required.
