Job summary
Illinois Central College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the Certified Nursing Assistant program in Peoria, offering day, evening, and weekend courses on campus, off campus, or online. Adjunct instructors will deliver quality teaching in class, lab, and clinical settings while adhering to IDPH rules and program standards.
Instructors maintain office hours, provide timely feedback, and collaborate with the Program Manager and faculty to promote student success across multiple delivery
Qualifications
- Earned Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current Illinois Professional registered nurse licensure.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Evidence of experience providing nursing care for chronically ill, elderly, geriatrics, or residents in skilled or long-term care setting.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to instructional syllabus for teaching assigned courses/course content and clearly communicate course schedule, expectations and student learning outcomes.
- Provide grading rubrics and timely feedback for assignments/projects/exams/lab and clinical performance, maintain students’ grades in Canvas, record student attendance.
- Maintain office hours and availability for students.
- Collaborate with Program Manager and program faculty to support student success and refer to support services as needed.
- Participate in department and college meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
