Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Mathematics courses. Responsibilities include following syllabi, meeting classroom standards, and maintaining office hours to support student success.

Courses may include developmental math, corequisite instruction, and calculus sequences, taught on a part-time basis up to 12 contact hours per semester. Applicants must be a resident of Illinois at hire.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mathematics is required.
• Or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics disciplines (not math education).

Responsibilities

• Instruct and coordinate courses including lecture and/or lab-based classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are readily available and that safety standards are met, when appropriate.
• Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating the expectations and schedule for the classwork.
• Maintain office hours and availability to support student success.
• Communicate with students to ensure student success and collaborate with faculty and staff to improve the student experience.
• Perform related duties as required.
