Job summary

Joliet Junior College is looking for an Adjunct Faculty member for Culinary Arts to conduct hands-on practical classes in food production and management. This part-time role requires extensive industry experience and teaching commitment while promoting the Culinary Arts Management Program.

Candidates should hold an Associate’s Degree and demonstrate strong cooking techniques, educational skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Ten years of industry experience in a high-volume or fine-dining venue.
• Certified or certifiable as a Certified Executive Chef or Pastry Chef.
• Well-versed in classical and contemporary cooking methods.

Responsibilities

• Teach hands-on practical classes in food production and culinary techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of subject matter and engage diverse students.
• Participate in course development and departmental meetings.
