Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Physical Education courses at the East Peoria Campus. The position is part-time and requires adherence to institutional syllabi, with instruction to a diverse student body. Classes may be day, evening, weekend, or off-campus and can involve up to 12 contact hours per semester.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science.
• Preferred Qualifications Doctoral Degree.
• Previous teaching experience, community college experience.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in classes ensuring all necessary materials and tools are available and safety standards are met.
• Follow syllabi for assigned courses communicating expectations and schedule.
• Maintain office hours and availability.
• Communicate with students to support student success.
• Collaborate with Faculty and Staff to improve the student experience.
• Perform related duties as required.
