Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT procedures, deliver high-quality imaging, and provide a supportive patient experience as part of a collaborative care team.

This role requires ARRT radiography and CT certifications, a High School diploma plus accredited radiologic training, and at least 1 year of radiology experience. The team emphasizes safety, ALARA principles, and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Clean, disinfect and prepare rooms and equipment per infection-control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol and maintain sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Support daily workflows and department operations, ensuring facility is orderly and compliant.
