Job summary

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, plus BLS. Expect a dynamic schedule and a commitment to ALARA principles and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with proper venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers/shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients accordingly.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
