Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. Technologists are valued clinical professionals and essential to a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
ARRT-CT certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Perform CT procedures following department guidelines and capture quality images.
Operate imaging equipment safely, maintaining diagnostic quality with ALARA.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control.
Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and ensure patient identifiers before exams.
Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock and maintain equipment.
