Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and supportive patient care. You will work with a collaborative care team, maintain ALARA standards, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam.

The role requires ARRT credentials, at least 1 year in Radiology, and the ability to explain procedures clearly while minimizing radiation exposure. A full-time schedule with shift differential and comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to minimize dose (ALARA).
• Clean and disinfect rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and reformat if needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers and prior exam retrieval.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to support department operations and compliance.
