Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT exams, ensure safety, and maintain patient comfort while following ALARA principles.

The role supports a collaborative care team in a busy radiology department with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The position requires ARRT credentials (Radiography and CT), an accredited radiologic technology program, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT credentials; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock rooms per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during visits.
• Administer contrast and use sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and re-check if needed.
• Document findings and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations.
