Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will deliver safe, high-quality CT imaging and provide a supportive patient experience as part of a collaborative care team.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT radiography and CT certifications, and BLS. Expect a full-time schedule with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth within Wellstar.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Radiology
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
• Prepare and disinfect rooms and equipment per infection control schedules
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history, and use two unique patient identifiers
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; minimize patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit
• Perform contrast exams with venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed
• Review images for diagnostic quality and repeat if necessary
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required
• Coordinate daily workflows and support department operations and regulatory compliance
