Job summary

Wellstar seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT exams, ensure safety, and maintain documentation in RIS/PACS as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certification: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certification: ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• Certification: BLS – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrieval and prior exams.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflows and support department flow with other technologists.
• Support compliance, keep areas stocked, transport patients, and follow regulatory requirements.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

1 year experience in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (American Heart Association)
