Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience at Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. You will be part of a collaborative care team that respects clinical expertise and patient-centered care.

The role requires one year of radiology experience, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, and BLS certification. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep to reduce patient anxiety and improve cooperation.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; re-scan as needed and release patients.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS including transfers.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, keep areas orderly, and escalate issues to supervisor.
