Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a CT Technologist responsible for performing computed tomography procedures and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced radiology department.

The role requires ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility within 90 days, state licensure, and BLS certification. CT experience is preferred; flexibility for travel between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required or CT registry eligible; must be registered or registry eligible within 90 days of employment
• CT registry eligible within one year of hire
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Preferred: Advanced CT certification by ARRT

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and procedure accuracy
• Operates imaging equipment and places IV
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality
• Performs timely quality control procedures and follows regulatory standards
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance)
• Adapts communication to patient population and maintains privacy
• Performs other related duties as required
