Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a CT Technologist to work with staff radiologists to perform routine CT procedures and ensure high-quality imaging in accordance with safety protocols.

The role includes mentoring junior staff and students, maintaining competency with radiology systems, and adhering to compliance and privacy standards. A formal radiologic technology program and ARRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration is required.
• LSRTB licensure in Louisiana is required.
• CT certification within 2 years of employment.
• AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program completed.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operate radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Independently operate imaging equipment per protocol (IV placement).
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform routine quality control procedures per standards.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, staffing, equipment).
• Adhere to privacy and safety policies and adapt to patient populations.
