Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT to perform imaging procedures safely and accurately. You will mentor junior staff and ensure high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety standards.

Required: radiologic technology program completion, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility within 90 days, and active state license with BLS. CT experience is preferred and flexibility to travel between facilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• Required: Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible; registry within 90 days of employment.
• Current state license in practice and BLS.
• Advanced CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedure accuracy.
• Independently operate CT imaging equipment per protocol (including IV placement).
• Explain procedure to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication to patient populations and maintain privacy.
