Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA seeks a CT Technologist to assess patients and safely perform routine CT procedures per radiation safety protocols. This role serves as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students.

Required: completion of an approved radiologic technology program and ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligibility; state license and BLS; CT experience preferred. Flexible schedules may be needed, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved radiologic technology program.
• CT experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligibility and state license required/within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Independently operate CT imaging equipment per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Conduct routine quality control procedures and document results.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Maintain patient privacy and adapt communication to patient population.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
