Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to assess patients and safely perform CT procedures within established safety protocols. The role mentors junior staff and supports clinical education, with responsibilities across imaging, quality control, and interdepartmental collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification (or registry-eligible with 90 days to obtain), current BLS, and licenses

Qualifications

• Required: completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Certifications: ARRT and/or CT-ARRT certified or registry eligible with 90 days to employment and state license.
• Preferred: CT experience and advanced CT certification when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment and perform CT procedures per protocol.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Maintain quality control with regulatory standards and notify remediation as needed.
• Support departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt to diverse patient populations and flexible schedules, including evenings/weekends/holidays, and travel between facilities.
