Ochsner Health System is seeking a CT technologist to assess patients and perform routine CT procedures following radiation safety protocols. You will mentor junior staff and students while ensuring diagnostic quality and patient comfort.

Required are a radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, state license, and BLS. CT experience and flexibility with shifts are preferred; travel between facilities may be needed.

• Proficient in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional presentation of information.
• Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and patient interaction.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and related technical language.
• Able to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
• Self-directed and capable of working with limited supervision.
• Willingness to accommodate flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and travel between facilities.
• Familiarity with cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and hemodynamics relevant to CT imaging.

Responsabilités

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to support patient care.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Operate CT equipment independently according to protocol (IV placement included).
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Perform routine quality control and document regulatory compliance.
• Assist in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication and procedures to different patient populations; ensure privacy and consent.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
