Job summary

Ochsner Health System Careers seeks a certified Radiologic Technologist to perform CT imaging and ensure diagnostic quality in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role includes mentoring junior staff and flexibility for after-hours or weekend coverage.

Required: radiologic technology program completion, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility within 90 days, and BLS. Preference for CT advanced certification and ability to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced CT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operates imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Supports department operations and scheduling.
