Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, uphold ALARA principles, and work as part of a collaborative care team.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, ARRT certification, and at least one year in radiology; you will ensure safety, explain the process with AIDET, and document studies in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA to minimize radiation exposure.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; promptly report issues.
• Obtain clinical history, screen contraindications, verify orders and two patient IDs before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture and sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; adjust and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timelines; support department flow and compliance.
