Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities include performing CT procedures per department guidelines, maintaining ALARA standards, preparing patients, ensuring safety, and documenting studies in RIS/PACS. A minimum of one year radiology experience and ARRT CT certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Disinfect, clean, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders; use two unique patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed.
• Finalize studies in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies and restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; support department flow.
