Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT credentials.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Maintain infection control, clean, disinfect, and restock rooms/equipment as needed.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique as applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and release patients.
• Document results in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart readiness.
• Organize daily workflows to support department operations and compliance.
