Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will work a full-time, 40-hour weekday day shift, applying ALARA principles and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography).
• Certifications: ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography).
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently and maintain low patient dose (ALARA).
• Clean and disinfect rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes; collaborate with teams.
• Support operations, keep areas stocked, handle charging/clerical tasks; follow regulations.
