Job summary

Wellstar is hiring a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a compassionate patient experience at Cobb Hospital in Georgia. You will perform CT procedures, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and adhere to ALARA principles to minimize dose while maximizing diagnostic value.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Maintain infection control and report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain daily workflows and collaborate with colleagues to support department operations.
