Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high‑quality imaging and a supportive patient experience throughout the exam.

You will perform CT procedures per department guidelines, ensure ALARA dose optimization, and maintain rooms, equipment, and documentation in RIS/PACS. Collaboration with the radiology team is essential to a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications are required or expected.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Capture high-quality diagnostic images with ALARA dose optimization.
• Maintain rooms and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures clearly and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock equipment as needed.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
