Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality CT imaging and ensure a positive patient experience. You will work with a collaborative care team to perform CT exams, maintain safety standards, and support patient comfort from pre‑procedure through post‑care.

Responsibilities include image optimization, ALARA adherence, proper documentation in RIS/PACS, and responding to emergencies as part of a busy radiology service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients, apply markers, and ensure privacy and safety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and document findings in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies as needed.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
