Job summary

The CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital, part of Wellstar, delivers high‑quality imaging and patient‑centered care. You will perform CT procedures, ensure safety and ALARA, and collaborate with radiology colleagues to support efficient patient flow.

You will review images for diagnostic quality, document findings in RIS/PACS, and maintain infection control while providing compassionate care to diverse patients in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients as appropriate.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/CDs.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows to support department flow.
