Job summary

The CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital, part of Wellstar in Georgia, delivers high-quality imaging and supports a positive patient experience. The role requires performing CT procedures, maintaining ALARA principles, room prep, screening, and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

You will collaborate with the radiology team, ensure patient safety, assist with contrast administration, and uphold infection control and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards.
• Prepare rooms, disinfect equipment, and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding, and ensure patient safety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows, support department operations, and maintain order.
