Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high‑quality imaging and provide supportive patient care. You will perform CT procedures, apply ALARA principles, and work within a collaborative care team to ensure accurate exams and smooth patient experience.

You will maintain equipment and rooms, verify patient data, and document studies in RIS/PACS, contributing to safe, efficient imaging services for diverse patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA, ensuring lowest reasonable dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures and pre/post-care, address questions and reduce patient anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety during visits.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and obtain necessary repeats.
• Document findings accurately and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
