Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized radiology program or NMTCB recognized in Nuclear Medicine.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB certification and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to perform CT scanning and radiology procedures with patient care focus.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders; refers/discusses with Radiologist and addresses discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and explain procedures briefly to the patient.
• Interview patients for medical history and review EMRs to obtain pertinent information.
• Manage the exam from start to finish and dictate results accordingly.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol and document details as needed.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist; perform additional reconstructions as instructed.
• Provide basic patient care, monitor changes, and assist in emergencies including code blue.
• Perform CT scans and assist Radiologist/PA; maintain sterile technique and safety.
• Obtain medications/contrast as directed by licensed practitioners.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and report equipment issues to leadership.
• Adhere to safety procedures, attend trainings, and rotate shifts as required.
