• Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
• Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
• Properly identify patients and assist while explaining procedures.
• Prepares patients for procedures with explanations and documents on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMR for pertinent history.
• Records medical history on requisitions and correlates data with exam.
• Assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures and CT scanning.
• Maintains radiation safety and sterile technique; reports malfunctions.
