Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT Radiology or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine certification and ARRT CT advanced registry within 1 year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exam and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers and prepare them with explanations of procedures.
• Interview patients and review EMR for clinical history; record medical history on requisitions.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures; maintain sterile technique.
• Maintain radiation safety; operate radiology computer systems and document contrast administration.
• Rotate shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends; adhere to safety trainings.
