Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and compassionate patient care within a busy medical center. You will perform CT procedures, optimize techniques to minimize dose, maintain equipment, ensure safety, document results, and support the department's workflow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans according to guidelines, adjusting techniques to optimize diagnostic quality at the lowest dose (ALARA).
  • Maintaining equipment, infection control, and reporting issues promptly.
  • Verifying patient identity, obtaining clinical history, and explaining procedures using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
  • Ensuring patient safety, comfort, privacy, and administering contrast via venipuncture when needed.
  • Reviewing and finalizing images in RIS/PACS, documenting accurately, and supporting department workflow.
  • Responding to emergencies, maintaining equipment, and supporting regulatory compliance.

Role Overview:

The CT Technologist applies expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at a medical center. They are vital members of a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures, ensuring diagnostic image quality, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
