Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and patient-centered care. You will perform CT procedures, adjust techniques to balance diagnostic quality with patient safety and ALARA principles, and ensure accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • Certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures following department guidelines, capturing diagnostic images with technical precision.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to ensure diagnostic quality while minimizing patient dose (ALARA).
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of rooms and equipment, identifying and reporting issues promptly.
  • Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety through screening and proper identification.
  • Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and provide age-appropriate care using AIDET principles.
  • Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout procedures, administering contrast agents as needed.
  • Position patients correctly, apply shielding, and review images for diagnostic acceptability, repeating exams when necessary.
  • Document procedures accurately, finalize studies in RIS/PACS, and manage related clerical tasks.
  • Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist in maintaining life-support equipment.
  • Support department operations by organizing workflows, transporting patients safely, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Role Overview:
