Job summary

AccessHealth in Clarkston, GA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality, safe CT imaging and collaborate with the care team to ensure accurate diagnostic results and patient comfort.

You will follow department protocols, manage contrast administration, verify orders, screen for contraindications, and document procedures in RIS/PACS while maintaining equipment and contributing to a supportive, compliant workflow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with accredited Radiologic Technology program completion.
  • Minimum one year of radiology experience.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT scans following department protocols, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Operate imaging equipment independently, maintain cleanliness, and identify equipment issues promptly.
  • Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications.
  • Explain procedures using AIDET, address patient questions, and provide age-appropriate care.
  • Administer contrast agents, position patients correctly, and apply necessary protective measures.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or correct as needed, and document all procedures in RIS/PACS.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and help maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Support department operations, ensure compliance, and assist with workflow organization.
