They work independently to perform CT procedures, ensuring diagnostic images are of optimal quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Key duties include maintaining equipment, obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, administering contrast when needed, and accurately documenting studies in RIS/PACS systems. The role also involves monitoring patient conditions, responding to emergencies, and supporting departmental workflows.
