Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures with attention to diagnostic image quality and patient safety. You will work within a collaborative radiology team at Cobb Hospital, ensuring ALARA principles are followed and patient comfort is prioritized.

The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 1 year radiology experience, ARRT in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capturing quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintaining dose within ALARA.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and identifiers.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
