Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. The role requires performing CT procedures, maintaining ALARA standards, and ensuring patient comfort and safety within a collaborative radiology team.

The ideal candidate has ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, at least 1 year radiology experience, and BLS certification. Relocation and sign-on options may be available, with competitive hourly pay and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications are required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging and radiographic equipment safely, optimizing techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at ALARA doses.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and ensure two identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and release patients with proper documentation.
