Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, adhere to ALARA principles, and work within a collaborative radiology team at Cobb Hospital.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certifications, and at least 1 year in Radiology. Day shifts are available with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications; BLS (American Heart Association)

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history; verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; venipuncture as needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflows; support department flow and compliance.
