Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain diagnostic image quality while adhering to ALARA and infection-control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and ensure quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and patient IDs.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Administer contrast per protocol and use sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and assist with emergencies; restock life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows and support department operations and compliance.
