Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging and deliver patient-centered care. You will work within a collaborative radiology team, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficient exam workflow in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certifications, with BLS. Prior radiology experience is preferred and a commitment to ALARA principles is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification is required or obtainable.
• ARRT-CT certification required or preferred.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely; ALARA dose management.
• Prepare and disinfect rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding; ensure privacy and safety.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and complete documentation in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Support department operations, stock, and equipment maintenance.
