Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks a Cryogenic Responsible Engineer to lead cradle-to-grave hardware ownership for cryogenic propellant management on lunar transport systems. You will oversee design, qualification, manufacturing support and integration with vehicle systems, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers. The role requires a BS in a relevant field, 5+ years in cryogenic fluids, and propulsion hardware experience. Relocation and travel up to 25% are supported.

Qualifications

  • BS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related technical subject area.
  • 5+ years of experience in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems/components.
  • Experience developing, integrating and certifying aerospace systems for flight.
  • Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels, instrumentation).
  • Cryogenic Fluid Management techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Zero-g Propellant Management IPT.
  • Manage internal and external procurements and hardware dependencies to meet subsystem deliveries.
  • Lead trade studies, design/integration, testing support, and supplier interfaces for cryogenic systems.
  • Own hardware drawing release, manufacturing plan development, and vehicle integration.
  • Lead internal and external cryogenic development meetings.
  • Cradle-to-grave ownership of cryogenic system.
