Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Cryogenic Responsible Engineer in California to define and own the liquid subsystem baseline, oversee procurements, and lead cryogenic development efforts. You will manage hardware dependencies, perform technical trades, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver hardware for lunar transport systems.

The role requires 8+ years in cryogenic fluids, aerospace experience, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cryogenic fluids and mechanical systems
• Experience developing and certifying aerospace flight systems
• Experience with cryogenic fluid management technologies
• Experience leading small teams and subcontractors
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and control the liquid subsystem baseline with technical leadership
• Manage internal and external procurements and hardware dependencies
• Lead and perform technical trades on cryogenic systems
• Own hardware drawing release and manufacturing plan development
• Lead internal and external cryogenic development meetings
• Cradle-to-grave ownership of cryogenic system
