Job summary

Hornblower Corp is seeking a friendly and professional Server for our onboard dining services in San Diego. The role requires hospitality, food and beverage service, and a strong knowledge of our vessel and skyline to enhance guest experiences.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, handling payments, and maintaining clean service areas while contributing to a memorable cruise experience for guests and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods without sitting.
• Must lift and move furniture and heavy items such as dishes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all areas and service stations.
• Participate in guest celebration and entertainment experiences.
• Set up and break down dining areas; move dining cabin furniture as needed.
• Collect payments for onboard purchases from guests.
• Provide menu descriptions and information on cruise routes and points of interest.
• Be prepared to start work at the scheduled time.
• Maintain uniform and grooming per appearance standards.
• Assist with greeting and seating guests on arrival.
• Additional duties as assigned.
