Job summary

Hornblower Corp. seeks a Server Assistant to support servers on our vessel, ensuring prompt service and courteous hospitality for guests. The role requires endurance to work onboard and stand for long periods, with duties spanning setup, service, and post-service break down.

You will assist with seating, describe menus and entertainment, and help maintain cleanliness across dining and service areas in a dynamic cruise environment. nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous restaurant experience is preferred.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests.
• Clear and remove dishes and glassware from tables and galley areas.
• Transport dishes to and from the galley for cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all service areas and stations.
• Set up and breakdown dining areas as scheduled.
• Provide guests with menu details, service flow, and local information.
• Assist with seating guests and greeting arrivals.
• Other duties as assigned.
