Job summary

Hornblower Corp in Boston is seeking a Server Assistant to support servers with prompt service, maintain cleanliness, and greet guests aboard the vessel. You will assist with seating, information delivery about menus and cruise routes, and ensure smooth service throughout shifts.

The role requires physical ability to lift items, a high school diploma, and strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Prior restaurant experience is preferred and weekend/night work is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must meet minimum state age requirements.
• Previous restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests.
• Clean up used and unneeded dishes and glassware from guests' tables to galley.
• Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to the galley for cleaning.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all common areas and service stations.
• Set up and break down dining room and service stations as prescribed.
• Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route and points of interest.
• Assist with the warm and efficient greeting and seating of guests when they arrive.
• Additional job duties as assigned
