Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Springfield, MA, seeks an Operations Management Trainee for the 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) to support shop management, cost savings, and metrics-driven initiatives.

The role requires cross-functional work across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental. The trainee will liaise with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain PM scheduling, and optimize running costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution experience.
• Strong PC skills to include Excel and Word.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality customer interface, proactive management, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with rental and maintenance to optimize costs while serving lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and increased satisfaction.
• Schedule PMs and oversee technician planning for efficiency and vehicle status.
