Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Critical Operations Technician II to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment within a 24x7X365 data center. You will monitor systems, perform tests, and assist customers on the Data Center floor both in person and by phone.

The role requires on-site work with no remote option, customer-facing duties, and ticket management using our system. Strong technical knowledge and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Five or more of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Apply learning and policies to IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Lead and monitor preventive maintenance of equipment.
