Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Ohio. This full-time role features a 72-hour bi-weekly schedule, rotating weekends and holidays, and a generous sign-on bonus up to $10,000 for qualifying experience and $5,000 for new graduates.

The unit cares for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis, offering advanced telemetry and bedside care. Applicants must be Ohio-licensed RNs with BLS; ACLS is required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BSN is preferred for this Critical Care Step Down role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 24-bed Critical Care Step Down unit (7 West).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor continuous telemetry.
• Perform central line care and manage advanced respiratory support.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) and patient care tasks.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT to ensure quality patient outcomes.
